Welcome to The Hemingway Cottage, a beautifully updated 1940s beach bungalow in the heart of Myrtle Beach. This 2-bedroom, 1-1/2 bathroom retreat offers historic character combined with modern comforts, just a short walk across Ocean Boulevard to beach access, local dining, and the famous Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a cozy family stay, or a winter escape, this classic cottage blends charm, location, and convenience in one unforgettable package.

This single-level beach cottage sleeps up to 4 guests:
Primary Bedroom: Queen bed with deluxe linens
Second Bedroom: Two twin beds, ideal for kids or additional guests
Bathroom: Full bath with tub/shower combo
Living Area: Comfortable seating, smart TV, and coastal décor
Kitchen: Fully equipped with full-size appliances, cookware, and coffee maker
Note: The home does not have central HVAC. Window units provide both heating and cooling.

House Rules:
Guest must be 25+ to book (under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
No pets allowed – $500 fine for violations
No smoking or vaping inside the home or on the property
No motorcycles, trailers, RVs, or oversized vehicles allowed
One vehicle included; paid parking for a second vehicle is available on the south side of the property
No parties or events permitted
25% deposit due at booking; full payment due 30 days prior to arrival
Signed rental agreement and photo ID required to confirm booking

Cozy, eclectic, and a great location. Huge yard kids loved watching cars on the strip. Right across from the pier and beach. We enjoyed it. So much better than the condo high rise experience

Great location. False advertising

You cannot beat the location of this property. The people who live above the unit are very friendly and kind. We found the unit clean and cool upon arrival. We booked this property because “laundry” was included in the listing and we packed accordingly. We were a bit inconvenienced to have to leave location in search of local laundrymat (there are options). There were used wet sponges under the sink which was a bit unsanitary.
If you’re over 6ft tall you may hit your head on light fixtures. Large guests may have an issue with the small toilet closet. Convert the toilet closet to a stackable washer/dryer and we’d rebook and recommend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. This property was perfect for my group of four and I would love to rent it out again for our trip next year.

This property was absolutely perfect. The outdoor patio and fire-pit area were amazing for sitting around at night and just enjoying the beach. I cannot think of one thing I did not like about this property.

All Worked Out

We arrived and the temperature was a chili 52. The house had no heat. We called Ashley, the Property Management person, and she promptly secured us an upgraded place to stay. Also thanks to Rick, the maintenance person for looking after our needs. The Gaskins

This place is the best!!!

What a cool and relaxing place. Its right across from 2nd avenue pier and wicked tuna! We were able to just walk out of the yard and hit the beach! The property was clean and the firepit was great to spend time together as a family after a long day at the beach! We will book this place again!

My Family and I had an incredible stay at The Hemingway Cottage! It was very clean, centrally located to everything, and the staff at Wavecrest stayed in communication with us and made sure we had a great stay! We will be back.
